How could he let himself get so mad? He hated himself for it... For the time being. Now his days consisted of sitting around the house, watching his brothers argue and tackle each other in the halls of their Victorian home while Johnny just moped around.
He lost his best friend to his temper. But it went both ways didn't it? Both of their tempers got in the way of their friendship. What sparked the fight anyway? He just wanted to punch something. He'd never been this angry.
"John. John. JOHN!" Johnny snapped out of his wandering thoughts and turned his attention to his brother, Kirk.
"What?" He said. His voice sounded different, unlike his normal happy tone.
"Mom wants to know if you're coming down for dinner." He said, moving toward the door. Johnny just nodded.
"I'll be down in a bit." He looked back out the window, hoping to see the face he's wanted to see for weeks now.

Rosalyn's hair whipped in her face as the rain beat her face. She found herself outside of Johnny's house yet again. She had been here a lot lately, and not knocking on the door or anything.
She spotted some rocks on the ground. She picked one up, and threw it at Johnny's window. She wanted so bad to see him. She was in love with him. There was no way that she thought that she could keep it in, but she thought it would be best. It was her fault that Johnny and her were fighting anyway. If only she told him that she was dating Peter Santos from school.

Johnny heard and saw the pebble hit his window, but if he didn't get down to dinner his mother would slay him. He got up and trudged down the stairs into the dining room. He had no clue as to why he was acting like this. Rosalyn and him had many fights before, but this one was the worst one of all.
When he got into the dining room, Andy and Jack were thumb wrestling, and Kirk was in a deep conversation with their parents.
Out of Johnny's three brothers, Kirk was the one he got along with the best.
Johnny made an audible 'thump' as he sat down in his chair. Everybody turned their attention to him, but he didn't give any attention back. He only paid attention to his plate of food.
"Johnny. We're worried about you. You've been distant for three weeks now. What's going on, dear?" Johnny's mother asked while reaching across the table and taking his hand in hers. He looked up and looked at each one of his family members face; they all looked worried or concerned.
"It nothing," he lied. He gave them all the closest thing to his signature crooked smile and went back to eating. At that moment, thunder boomed and lightning flashed brightly in the sky.

Rosalyn knew that it was better, not being able to talk to Johnny. She couldn't do it any longer. She couldn't be away from him. She approached the door as lightening struck a nearby tree. She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes.
Rosalyn, unconscious to her own thoughts, began to knock on the front door.

Johnny was the first to hear the knock on the door. He played it off at first, but when the second knock came he announced that he would get it. He got up from his chair and walked into the foyer. When he opened his door, his face went blank. Rosalyn was standing at his doorstep, dripping wet. How long had she been standing outside? She could get sick.
Johnny just stood there, arms crossed, staring at Rose. He didn't want to be the first to talk.

Rosalyn couldn't bring herself to speak when she saw Johnny's face. As tears rolled down her face, she threw herself at Johnny. "I...I'm Sorry, J."

Johnny felt unable to move as Rosalyn threw her arms around him. She was freezing.
"Rose. Get inside. You're freezing." He brought her into the house and walked to the hallway closet. He got her the fluffiest towel he could find. "How long have you been outside?" He saw the tears rolling down her face, but he couldn't bring himself to feel... Anything.

"I've been out there, every night for the past two and a half weeks." Rosalyn said.
She looked into Johnny's eyes and could tell that he could probably care less. She heard speaking in another room. She knew it to be his family. She felt bad for interrupting whatever they were doing. "I...I should be going. I'm sorry I knocked."
Rosalyn took the towel off and draped it over a nearby railing.

Before she could leave, Johnny grabbed her upper arm and led her into the dining room.
"Mom, Dad. Rosalyn is joining us for dinner." Johnny announced. He was going to try and feel something other than numbness, and this was the first step at achieving that.

Rosalyn decided not to fight Johnny. She greeted the DiMargio family politely. Before she sat down she whispered softly into Johnny's ear. "Why are you doing this? I can see you don't want me here."

Johnny just flashed a smile that felt strange on his face. He leaned into Rose and whispered in her ear, "I need you here more than you know."
He then turned back to his family. His brothers were all giving him the eye and smiling. His mother looked pleased to see Johnny actually smile, and his dad was just delighted to have a giant group for dinner.

Rosalyn was shocked that Johnny had said that he needed her. She didn't understand one bit. She looked at his family, and they all seemed very surprised. She smiled at them. "You all look so...happy. Has everything been alright?"
She would make it a point to ask Johnny what he meant, when they were away from his family, unless she could hint to him to use the old way of communication.

Before Johnny could stop her, his mom spoke up to Rosalyn's question.
"Johnny has been moping around the house like he's lost his puppy or something." His mom quipped. Johnny smacked his palm to his forehead and his brother's just snickered.

Rosalyn's mouth dropped and her eyes widened. "Johnny DiMargio! You've been moping around the house, because of me, haven't you?"
She couldn't believe it. She didn't mean to raise her voice at him, but it just happened. She knew it was rude.
"I'm sorry. I...I'll leave now. I shouldn't have come. I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs. DiMargio."

"Stay!" Johnny yelled without thinking. Andy started laughing, until Johnny kicked his shin under the table.
"I-I mean, don't leave. You just got here. Let's eat. Then you and I can talk afterward." Andy let out a low wolf-whistle, making Johnny kick him under the table as well.

Rosalyn stood up from the table. "You can talk to me anytime. This is family time. I'm sorry for intruding. Please, forgive me. I love all of you."
Rosalyn made for the front door, her hair sopping wet dripped a path behind her, but at the last minute, as she was out of site of the family, she turned the corner and made her way upstairs to Johnny's room.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a shadow fly across the wall and go up the stairs. He hid his smile and started eating his food at mach speed.
"So... Johnny." Johnny picked his head up and looked at Jack.
"Yeah?" He said while still stuffing his face with food.
"Did you tap that yet?" Were the words that came out of Jack's mouth. Johnny spit out his food and looked at Jack, flabbergasted. As were his mother and father. Kirk and Andy on the other hand were red in the face, trying to keep the laughter in.
"That's not even right, dude. I actually respect girls. And Rosalyn is my best friend." He picked up a handful of food and threw it at Jacks face. "I'm full. Dinner was excellent." He gave his mom a kiss on the cheek. He then ran up the stairs, taking two at a time.

Rosalyn had settled herself on Johnny's bed. She was almost asleep. She loved to stay here all the time. She couldn't wait to be with Johnny.

Johnny casually strolled down the hallway. Whistling a happy little tune on the way to his room. When he got to his room he knocked on the door and yelled out, "I hope you're decent!"
He smirked and walked in the room to see Rosalyn on his bed.

Rosalyn jumped. She hadn't heard him yell, but when the door opened, it shocked her. This brought back very interesting memories of the past. She remembered the time that she and Johnny had become one.
She shook her head, before scolding him playfully. "You should never do that John-John. You might give a lady the wrong idea." She spoke as she winked at him.
Rosalyn wanted to talk, and not forget about why exactly they were fighting. "Its better to talk, J."

Johnny just smirked again and nodded.
"Who wants to start? I'm not good with this kind of stuff." He said bashfully.

"I should...have told you, Johnny. I shouldn't have let you find out." Rosalyn said. She wasn't ready to tell him how she felt, but it came out...slightly.
"I love you, Johnny DiMargio." Rosalyn whispered softly.

Johnny was confused. That wasn't the talking he was going for. He was expecting them to talk about why they fought. He wasn't even sure about... love. He didn't grasp the concept of it. It actually kind of scared him. He always felt more fond of Rosalyn over other girls, but that's just it. He liked girls. He was a 'ladies man' as some would say. Love was just not in his game plan yet.
"Um... Uh yeah. But what about the fight?" He asked. He hurt her feelings. He knew he did. But he couldn't help himself.

Rosalyn just shrugged it off. She wanted to have as much time as she could with Johnny, before it all changed. "You were the one that caught us. I just wished that I would have told you. It was wrong for you to find us in the empty closet. Peter was just there. He wanted...things from me."
Rosalyn stood up and walked toward Johnny. She knew what she was going to do now. She would come onto him. "He wanted to do the stuff that only you and I can get away with, Baby." Rosalyn winked at him.

Johnny took one step back. Every step she got closer to him, the farther away he got from her. He loathed Peter Santos.
"Rosalyn. I refuse to do stuff with you while you're still with Peter." He said, getting defensive again. All the happiness he felt just seemed to disappear.

Rosalyn stopped in her tracks. "Johnny, I broke up with him, because I couldn't lose you. You mean more to me than him. That's why after three days of us not talking, I spent all my time outside your house."

"I can see you still have feelings for him. And that's okay... Because I happen to be talking to someone right now as well." He lied. He just didn't want to cave. He wouldn't let himself cave. He could find one of his other girlfriends easily. But why was he acting so cold? This was strange.

Rosalyn could tell that Johnny was putting on an act. "I can see this was just a waste of my damn time, Johnny DiMargio!"
She went to aperate out of his room and to her house. However, that seemed to not be very effective. She couldn't bring herself to leave him.
"I don't want him. I want you, Johnny. You're too thickheaded to see that."

"Rosalyn. Think about it. We just had a huge fight. It's going to take some time to get over it. I'm not going to forgive quickly and jump into a relationship right after you got out of one. I think Muggles call that a rebound." He said, standing his ground and crossing his arms.

"I thought you knew me better than that, Johnny. Apparently, I was wrong. You know for a fact that if I wanted a 'rebound' or whatever its called, I'd conjure one up or find someone else. However, you just don't seem to give a damn about me. Is it even worth being your best friend?"
Rosalyn knew that if he answered no, that it would be a final decision. She wouldn't interfere in his life, and she wouldn't let him interfere in hers.
